First impressions from Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s Los Angeles listening party on Thursday (June 7) have been positive, despite a delay that had the music coming almost three hours after the scheduled start time.
Music notes finally started to float into the air around 10:42 p.m. PT as West and Cudi danced around a bonfire. Hundreds of people were gathered around them.
Naturally, the tweets starting flying in. Before all seven songs were even done, people were dubbing it a classic and praising its production.
Cudi and ‘Ye’s relationship stretches back roughly 10 years when they teamed up on West’s 2008 solo album, 808s and Heartbreak.
This is Cudi’s first project since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ and Kanye’s latest in a string of weekly releases that include his ye solo album and Pusha T’s DAYTONA.
