Rick Ross was one of many critics who took issue with Tory Lanez dropping an entire album dedicated to clearing his name in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident.

On Friday morning (September 25), Rozay condemned the DAYSTAR rapper via Instagram for releasing the album a day after the grand jury’s decision in the Breonna Taylor case, calling it a “poor decision.” He later clowned Lanez’s diminutive stature in another IG video and claimed he bought him a mini Smart car to celebrate the project’s release.

“Hey, I just bought a car for Tory Lanez,” he says in the clip. “I gotta gift for the album release. That’s you. I heard you just went double acrylic on Datpiff.”

Lanez quickly took notice of Ross’ jabs and defended himself on Twitter, writing, “I respect u 2 much as a black man to disrespect you in these times, however I went out and marched 9 DAYS STRAIT for Breonna Taylor ..IN YOUR CITY …I didn’t see the “boss” out there once ?…also stop tagging your endorsements in post about her. It’s a poor decision @RickRoss.”

Ross returned fire with another Instagram video and dismissed Lanez’s participation in the aforementioned Breonna Taylor protests.

“First off little boy, I appreciate how swiftly you responded to Rozay, but that’s how you shoulda did the sister that accused you of shooting her,” he says. “That’s what you owed her family. That’s what you owed all the Black women in America. Just that accusation alone, she was in your presence — but that’s between y’all.”

Ross continued, “But more importantly, let’s get to you protesting. You ain’t protest in Miami. Only reason you was out there was ’cause your condo that you stay in $1500 a month and the damn protest was coming right down there, so you went down and took a photo opp. That’s cool, let’s not insinuate that.

“Go out your way for the sisters. Poor decision is putting together an album and trying to profit off some shit. People like myself was hoping you’d address this shit and move on — not get a wack song or a wack album that ain’t gonna get you no money nor no new supporters. So little boy, boss up.”

Before Ross was done ripping the Canadian artist, he recorded himself on the phone with someone joking about how hard it would be for Lanez to swim in his pool, saying, “It would take little boy 15 minutes to swim from the bottom of my pool. He can’t even tap the shit I drive.”

Megan identified Lanez as the triggerman in the July incident. On DAYSTAR’s album opener “Money Over Fallouts,” Lanez firmly denies he was the one responsible for her injuries. Listen to it below.
