New York, NY – Power‘s Omari Hardwick declares a brand new podcast centered round Hip Hop and spoken phrase titled, Poetics

The podcast’s first season will debut the Luminary Network on May 2, 2019.

The announcement got here a Billboard exclusive Wednesday (March 13).

Hardwick will host a bevy of Hip Hop artists to debate their admiration for the style in addition to take a look at their spoken phrase capability. He describes the present, saying, “I’m asking rappers to come back in and sit down and recite a poem, lose the machismo. Poetry has a vulnerability that rap and MC’ing doesn’t. You gotta be susceptible. That sort of takes it to a different stage and offers [artists] a distinct look.”

Alex Nagel, co-creator and government producer, commented on the present’s area of interest, explaining, Poetics brings to its viewers an expertise that calls again to the cinematic vibe. Omari encourages visitors to go deep, and we improve that storytelling with a dope soundscape. It’s not like an interview that you just hear on quite a lot of podcasts.”

Poetics first season visitors will embrace, Wyclef Jean, Dave East, Big Daddy Kane, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and extra.

This is Hardwick’s first endeavor exterior his five-year position as Ghost on the STARZ crime drama, Power. He will reprise that position on the present’s upcoming sixth season set to launch the summer season of 2019.
