In November 2009, Jackson’s physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for prescribing drugs that ultimately led to Jackson’s demise.
A jury of seven men and five women took two days to come to the verdict. Although Murray was charged with the lowest possible homicide offense, Judge Michael Pastor denied probation and gave Murray the maximum sentence of four years in prison.
