Lady Gaga is ‘devastated’ after ‘severe pain’ – due to her fibromyalgia condition – has forced her to pull out of her tour.
The Joanne hitmaker has battled the condition for years and documented its extent in her Netflix documentary last year.
Shows in London and Manchester are amongst those which have been cancelled.
In a statement shared on the pop star’s Twitter account, it said Lady Gaga has ‘made the tough decision to immediately come off the road’.
“She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans,” it reads.
The 31 year old is now in the care of expert medical professionals working with her in the hope she can continue to to perform in the coming years.
Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – also shared a post reading: “I’m so devastated I don’t know how to describe it.
“All I know is that if I don’t do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music. My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home.
“We’re cancelling the last 10 shows of my Joanne World Tour. I love this show more than anything, and I love you, but this is beyond my control.”
The Grammy-award winner then promised fans she will return to the cities missing out on her tour, but that she “needs to put herself first”.
