New York, NY – Kelly Rowland is ready to host the 12th annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards. The celebration will happen February 21 in Beverly Hills, Oscar week.
Amandla Stenberg, Jennifer Lewis, KiKi Layne, and Regina Hall will all be celebrated for his or her contributions and activism on the luncheon.
“I’m so honored to host this 12 months’s Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards and shine a lightweight on 4 distinctive ladies for his or her artwork and social activism,” Rowland stated in an announcement. “With this phenomenal Oscar-week celebration, Essence creates a particular place that elevates the wonder, energy and magic of Black ladies.”
News of Ms. Kelly internet hosting the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards comes on the heels of her starring function in BET collection American Soul. In the collection, Rowland takes on the function of legendary soul singer Gladys Knight as a part of the untold story of Soul Train its creator Don Cornelius.
