Pittsburgh, PA – Famous Pittsburgh playground, Blue Slide Park, popularized by the late Mac Miller, just lately acquired a reputation change on Google and Apple Maps.
Twitter person @MacMillerMemoir identified the title change posting a screenshot on Monday (March 11).

No official assertion concerning the title change has been made by Pittsburgh officers or members of Mac Miller’s staff.
One Twitter person identified the title change may very well be the results of Apple Maps pulling data from Yelp pages the place a “Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park” does exist. This is all hypothesis right now awaiting an official assertion.

An official petition to rename the park circulated throughout Miller’s memorial. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported in September of 2018 that Pittsburgh Mayor, Bill Peduto advised his assist of a renaming coverage to formally change the parks title. Peduto did be aware, “strict guidelines on naming of public property throughout the metropolis.”
It is unclear but when the park started displaying up with Miller’s title.
Miller was discovered useless from an unintended overdose on September 7, 2018. The Grammy-nominated artist would have celebrated his 27th birthday on January 19.
The late musician’s history-setting debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, is now on digital streaming providers.
