New Orleans, LA – Despite Flow’s outrageous behavior in a New Orleans courtroom on Tuesday (May 14) — which included loud mutters and pushing manila folders off a desk — the Young Money rapper’s fate was sealed.

According to The New Orleans Advocate, Criminal District Court Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier handed down two life sentences for the shooting death of brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop on Memorial Day 2015. Jurors voted 11-1 to convict the 27-year-old artist of two counts of second-degree murder last month.

“They were our heart, until you ripped that away from us,” the Bishops’ mother, Sherry Strauss, said in a statement read by a prosecutor. “Maybe your parents didn’t love you enough like you wanted, but our boys were well-loved, and you knew it.”

As part of the weeklong trial — where Flow’s own mother actually testified against him — prosecutors outlined the friendship the Bishop brothers had with Flow. Police think the shooting stemmed from Flow’s belief the brothers had stolen $8,000 in cash and a gun from him.

On the night prior to the murders, they all attended a Lil Wayne concert in Alabama and then returned to The Big Easy. Police discovered Flow’s cellphone near the rental car where the Bishops’ bodies were found.

After delivering several conflicting statements to police, he denied taking part in the murders on the witness stand and placed the blame on co-defendant Jonathan Evans. But he was ultimately found guilty anyway.

“I am glad that you were a sloppy murderer,” Strauss said in her statement. “I am glad that we received closure, because that’s something that most families don’t. I will never know the real reason you chose to kill our boys, and that hurts my soul,” she said.

Flow’s defense attorney, Gary Wainwright, says they plan to appeal.
