Brand Nubian’s Sadat X is teaming up with Thirstin Howl The 3rd for a collaborative project titled The God & The General. As a preview of what’s to come, the veteran rappers have premiered a new video for the mixtape cut “Eat These Bars” on RealStreetRadio.

“Sadat always remembered me from the late ’80s before I was even rapping when I was terrorizing the clubs,” Thirstin explains to DX. “I always was a fan of his music.”

For Sadat, the admiration is mutual.

“Thirstin is the perfect example of someone who has transformed himself into a positive force,” he tells DX. “It’s always great to work with my Lo brother and refreshing to work with another MC who shares the same relentless work ethic as myself.”

Sadat and Thirstin’s The God & The General tape, which is mixed by PF Cuttin, will include original tracks as well as previously unreleased songs. Guests appearing on the project include Kool Keith, R.A. The Rugged Man, Shabaam Sahdeeq and more.
