Chika has resurfaced with the first official single from her upcoming EP. Titled “No Squares,” the track brilliantly displays the blossoming MC’s immense lyrical prowess and fierce determination to rise to the top.

“The song was written from a place of finally seeing that I had something to offer,” Chika tells RealStreetRadio. “I found my power in my voice and needed to let it be known that I’m going as far as I can in this. That’s why it starts with ‘tell ’em cut my muthafuckin’ mic up.’ It’s a declaration.”

The Alabama-bred artist announced the news social media on Wednesday night (April 9). She indicated a video was also on its way.

“SURPRISE!!!! My first ever single drops at midnight on all streaming platforms,” she wrote. “Thank you all so much for your patience, it’s been a long wait and I could literally scream. Can’t wait to birth this dream baby. Video drops early on my Patreon.”

“No Squares” comes from the aforementioned EP, which (according to Chika) drops in a “few weeks.”
