DMX is seeking help in his longstanding battle with addiction. The veteran MC’s team announced X checked himself into rehab, which resulted in him canceling some previously booked gigs.

“In his ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first, DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility,” X’s reps wrote on Instagram. “He apologizes for his cancelled shows and thanks his fans for their continued support.

The multi-platinum selling artist’s trip to rehab will be his second stint in the past few years. Prior to serving time in prison for tax evasion, X spent months in rehab during 2017.

X was scheduled to perform at a Three 6 Mafia reunion show in Mississippi on Saturday night (October 12). He was replaced by the Ying Yang Twins.

The Ruff Ryders rapper was also supposed to be part of the lineup for Rolling Loud New York. X was slated to take the stage on Sunday (October 13) along with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, Pusha T, Action Bronson and Denzel Curry.
