SPONSORED – BPM Supreme founder and CEO Angel “AROCK” Castillo and T-Pain teamed up for the “Wake Up Dead” Remix Contest last month. Their mission? Find three remixes for T-Pain’s “Wake Up Dead” single featuring Chris Brown in an effort to help launch the careers of three burgeoning producers and put a spotlight on BPM Create, a new online sample library featuring thousands of royalty free sounds, effects and MIDI files.

As AROCK explains to HipHopDX, the idea was birthed as the COVID-19 pandemic began to take over the globe and brought the music industry to a screeching halt. AROCK says not only did the contest provide exposure for the “Wake Up Dead” single, but it also exhibited fresh talent for potential acquisition on T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment label during a time when many artists and DJs were left with few job opportunities.

“During one of the most difficult times in the history of the music industry, T-Pain and I wanted to give back to artists and offer the artist community an opportunity to get creative even while staying at home,” AROCK tells DX. “The contest aligned perfectly with the launch of our new online sample library, BPM Create.

“We were able to give artists the chance to create a fresh remix with both the stems from T-Pain’s hit track ‘Wake Up Dead’ plus free sound packs by BPM Create. It was an all-around win for T-Pain and Nappy Boy Entertainment, as well BPM Supreme and BPM Create.”

Like BPM Supreme, BPM Create is another one of AROCK’s innovative ideas, one he describes as a “powerful tool for music makers and creatives.” The platform is stocked with over 100,000 sounds and comes with a state of the art search functionality that allows BPM Create members to quickly find the sounds they need.

“The sounds you’ll find are designed for our members to create hit tracks,” AROCK adds. “We can’t wait to hear all of the music that will come from this new service.”

The “Wake Up Dead” contest coincided perfectly with the BPM Create launch and is proof of the platform’s unlimited potential.

“The goal of the contest was really to give three fresh producers a leg up in the industry during an unbelievably challenging time,” he says. “It was an absolute success, and T-Pain is stoked on the three winning tracks by DISTO, MAAHEZ and Nesse J. We can’t wait to see how this contest impacts the careers for these young producers.”

T-Pain offered a similar sentiment and raved about the ingenuity behind BPM Create.

“The team at BPM Supreme and I — we were on a mission to find freshest new remix for my single ‘Wake Up Dead’ featuring Chris Brown, and that’s exactly what we did,” he says. “It’s awesome to see the full range of music producers from amateur all the way up to professional put their creative touch on my track. That is what music is all about, creating what feels right to you. That’s why I love sites like BPM Create, that help inspire this new wave of producers.”

BPM Create has also partnered with leading sound design companies to distribute content through the platform, including hundreds of sound packs from labels such as Producer Loops, Vandalism, Function Loops, Trend Loops, YnK Audio and more. BPM Create invites more sound label partners to inquire about distribution and opportunities to receive scheduled monthly payments in line with industry standards as well.

AROCK and the ever-growing BPM Supreme brand have existing and upcoming collaborations with many other labels and plan to announce more services in the near future that will positively impact the music industry. The San Diego native also operates two offices — one in his hometown and another in Los Angeles.

BPM Create is available now for a monthly subscription price between $4.99 and $14.99. To learn more about the new sample library, or to sign up to receive 25 free credits to use immediately, head here.
