Chicago, IL – Brought to life by Chris Robinson (the mind behind the 2006 cult classic film ATL), Beats chronicles the hazardous upbringing of a young aspiring Chicago beatmaker (Khalil Everage) and his school security officer (Anthony Anderson) who sees an opportunity not only to help a disenfranchised youth but to reinvigorate his own Hip Hop management career as well.

The Netflix Original also stars Orange Is The New Black’s Uzo Aduba, Emayatzy Corinealdi and rappers Dave East and Dreezy (who also provides a new song for the film’s trailer).

Watch the Beats official trailer up above ahead of its June 19 drop date on Netflix.
