Former Rivals 50 Cent & Meek Mill Perform On Same Las Vegas Stage

Las Vegas, NV – Countless people have flocked to Las Vegas, Nevada for the epic showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor on Saturday night (August 26). Former rivals 50 Cent and Meek Mill were evidently in town for the event, and wound up on the same stage during a performance at Drai’s Nightclub Friday night (August 25).

Trey Songz, 50 and Jeezy were originally scheduled to headline, but they surprised the crowd by bringing Meek, Houston Rocket James Harden, former NBA player Allen Iverson and Chance The Rapper along for the ride.

In a video clip posted to Twitter, Meek performs his single “Dreams & Nightmares,” while 50 plays the role hypeman. Both are grinning ear-to-ear.

The Power executive and the Wins & Losses rapper publicly went at each other multiple times in 2015 and 2016, but Meek confessed they’d made peace in an interview with Angie Martinez on The Angie Martinez Show in July.

RZA Calls New Wu-Tang Clan Album "A Masterpiece"

After Thursday’s (August 24) surprisingly left-field world premiere the brand new Wu-Tang Clan single “People Say” featuring Redman, the collective has ficially announced a forthcoming LP, Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues.

The project is the eighth studio fering from the iconic Statin Island group — or seventh minus Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, the Wu album “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli bought for $2 million .

Although Ghostface Killah told HipHopDX last year, “RZA put the ball in my hand,” when asked about a Wu reunion, whether he was instrumental in getting the latest project underway is unclear.

According to the ficial announcement, RZA serves as executive producer, while production is being handled by Mathematics, the group’s longtime DJ and producer.

“For years, Math has had the idea putting together a body music using modern and legendary equipment such as ASR10 with vocal performances by Wu-Tang Clan members and other prominent MCs,” RZA said in the press release. “With The Saga Continues he’s created a masterpiece.”

The group was thought to be in disarray leading up to the release A Better Tomorrow, the follow-up to 8-Diagrams (the first album released post-Ol’ Dirty Bastard). Most notably, Raekwon and RZA had public creative disagreements, and there was also some friction around the controversial sale the Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album to Shkreli.

Wu-Tang is a brotherhood, though. The members might move in different directions at times, they’re all still connected to the hive.

“It’s never an issue with my brothers,” Raekwon told Exclaim magazine earlier this year. “They’re doing their thing; we already in discussions talking about moving forward together,” hinting something was already in the works.

The album, which is the inaugural (musical) release under RZA’s 36 Chambers LLC lifestyle brand, is set to drop on October 17. It features RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Redman, the late ODB and Sean Price.

36 Chambers ALC fashion arm, 36 Chambers menswear, is also set to launch a new vegan accessories line called The Pineapple Collection, which is expected to arrive in the near future.
