Boosie Badazz Defends Parenting Skills: “Y’all Can Never Be The Daddy I Am”

The controversy surrounding Boosie Badazz’s parenting has not quieted down and Boosie evidently has some things to get f his chest.

The Baton Rouge rapper has faced a loud chorus criticism following a recent Instagram post about getting a woman to perform oral sex on his son for the child’s birthday. Although Boosie’s claimed it was just a joke, he became fed up with the condemnation and fired back at his detractors on Tuesday (August 8).

“Everybody in my Dm Sayin I’m a poor father etc,” he wrote on Instagram. “well you’re wrong about that .Im there for my kids from the youngest to the oldest. If you don’t think kids r sexually active at 14 you better wake up it’s 2017. Where I’m from girls were pregnant at 13 and 14 on the regular. They had no daddy to talk to them about what’s in boys ,the streets r STDs etc.I have a relationship where I can talk to my teenage kids about anything .”

Boosie targeted his female critics, asserting the majority them don’t have fathers in their lives.

“Most you women in my Dm who r coming for me never had a father figure in your life,” he continued. “never had a bond with your dad or just don’t want to face reality that it’s 2017 n kids r sexually active at that age.Its up to us as parents to have sit downs with our teenagers to learn what they r going through in all aspects there life.”

Boosie capped it f by turning his aim to the male disparagers. He called the men out for being bad fathers and boasted about all he does for his kids.

“Most you men coming at me don’t do shit for your kids smh,” he wrote. “U will never understand a bond with a child because your child has no respect for you n your absence in they life n they don’t trust you at all .Your babymoma is they father, mother n best friend. While you typing words to me u should be writing an apology to your child for being U (a sperm donor). Y’all can never be the daddy I am.”

Rihanna Thinks Diplo's Music Sounds Like A Reggae Song At An Airport

Revered producer Diplo, who has worked with everyone from Future to Madonna, recently admitted there’s one artist on his radar he simply can’t land — Rihanna. In an interview with GQ, the Major Lazer mastermind said, “I just want her on a Major Lazer song. She’s like the one artist that we can’t ever get.”

He also mentioned he had failed to get her on the song “Lean On,” which appeared on Major Lazer’s 2015 EP, Know No Better. Instead, he enlisted singer MØ.

According to Diplo, that’s because RiRi thinks his music sounds like something played at the airport. Diplo attempted to play the Barbados beauty a track during a session with Future, the Weeknd and Metro Boomin, but she wasn’t having it.

“I was so contact high,” Diplo said. “Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, ‘Yo, G, I’m leaving unless you let me play her a song.’ So I played her a song. And she was like, ‘This sounds like a reggae song at an airport laughs].’ I was like, ‘I’m gonna go kill myself.'”

He said he thought they’d eventually posse up on a track in the future, but added, “If not, I don’t really care.” (He cares.)

When he’s not trying to convince RiRi to collaborate, Diplo is busy working on his new VICELAND show, What What Diplo Do?, and making bad jokes about R. Kelly. Meanwhile, the superstar singer is breaking the internet with photos her elaborate costumes.

Tupac Shakur's Hummer Back Up For Auction

Diehard Tupac fans with plenty cash to spend are in luck. The late rapper’s 1996 Hummer H1 is going back up for auction after its last buyer failed to pay for the vehicle.

RR Auction will start accepting bids on Tupac’s old ride on August 10 before concluding the bidding on August 17. The Hummer has been relisted at an estimate $100,000. The vehicle previously sold for $337,000 in May 2016 to a bidder from Ohio who defaulted on the payments.

Tupac bought the Hummer on August 16, 1996, just a month before his death. RR Auction has determined it was likely the last vehicle ever purchased by the influential MC, adding a special wrinkle to its value.

The SUV is equipped with a 6.5 liter, turbo diesel V-8 engine with automatic transmission and comes with a license plate which reads “YAKNPAK” in honor Tupac’s friend Yaki “Prince” Kadafi. It also contains promotional cassettes for his double album All Eyez on Me as well as Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

The Hummer was fully customized by Tupac and boasts the following features:

Tupac’s “What I Believe” original handwritten poem, a handwritten letter and signed photo from when he was detained at Clinton Correctional are also up for auction.

Rihanna's Crop Over Festival Attire Had Chris Brown Taking Notice

Barbados – When RiRi looks like a snack, the internet is likely to lose its collective mind. After Rihanna posted photos from the Crop Over Festival in Barbados to her personal Instagram account on Monday (August 7), Chris Brown came out the woodwork, fans fered up nearly four million likes, and the photo was shared and praised by thousands.

One the more noticeable and possibly notorious comments on Rihanna’s photo came courtesy her ex-boyfriend Brown, who commented with a pair eye emojis.

Writer/director Ava DuVernay and producer Pharrell were among the many who responded to the Barbados native’s sultry photos social media.

“I don’t think slay is appropriate. It ain’t enough. Need a new word for this all-out forest fire heat + flames,” DuVernay tweeted.

Some have even upgraded the singer to a heavenly being and basked in her thickness. This comes after Rihanna was fat shamed for recently gaining weight, which she handled with a Gucci Mane meme. Evidently, she’s proud who she is.

Check out some the reactions below.

Everything That Happened At OVO Fest 2017

Toronto, Canada – Drake’s hometown Toronto has come to expect a certain level surprise when The 6’s proudest son takes to the stage for the annual OVO Fest.

Monday night’s (August 7) spectacle at the Budweiser Stage certainly brought enough ammo to be considered on par with previous years.

After sets from the scheduled acts PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods and dvsn — things started to get crazy, with Drizzy pulling out big names left, right and center to give the crowd their money’s worth.

Drake made sure to show love to his fellow Canadian Hip Hop and R&B artists, bringing out Tory Lanez to perform his remix “Controlla” in an act that fully buries the hatchet between them, and The Weeknd to sing the intro for “Crew Love” alongside Drake himself.

Drake also managed to introduce Lanez in the most Drake way possible — “See this man here? We had problems with each other. We had never even met each other. I met the man … and he’s a great dude.”

The star power from the rest the guests could have lit up the entire city Toronto — Migos appeared and performed “Bad and Boujee” and “T-Shirt,” while Rae Sremmurd and French Montana showed to play “Unforgettable.” Playboi Carti was also on hand to perform “Magnolia” and “wokeuplikethis*.”

Female rapper Cardi B went through her massively popular “Bodak Yellow,” and Drake’s former tourmate Travis Scott performed “Portland” with the man the hour (Scott managed to avoid falling f stage this time, thankfully).

Maybe most surprising was the appearance St. Louis legend Nelly, who is positively old school these days compared to everyone else on the bill. But that doesn’t mean the crowd didn’t go crazy when he played “Country Grammar” and “Ride Wit Me.”

Recent OVO signee Baka helped finish f the night with his Toronto anthem “Live Up To My Name.”

And for the cherry on top the (CN Tower-shaped) sundae, Drake also announced that he’s working on his next album.

Which Rappers Are Americans Listening To The Most?

Do they listen to Lil Uzi Vert in Bozeman, Montana? Is Lil Yachty popular in Utah?

The New York Times mined YouTube’s geocoded information from January 2016 to April 2017 to put together 50 maps’ worth data on where America’s most popular musicians are most popular (in relative terms) across the United States.

Researchers looked at the 50 most popular artists on YouTube from this spring’s Billboard Hot 100 chart and worked out exactly where in the country those artists get the most plays compared to other artists.

Unsurprisingly, most rappers get a lot love in their home states and the surrounding area — Future is one such example, most popular in pockets  Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

The same is true for Kevin Gates, who is significantly more popular in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi than he is in the rest the country.

The south is a clear stronghold for Hip Hop music at the moment, which suggests a pretty clear dominance emanating from the region when it comes to the charts. Mississippi’s Rae Sremmurd are most popular in a combination the states named above. Lil Yachty and Gucci Mane also fall into this bracket.

Drake has an unusual map. The 6 God is most popular in Texas, Nevada and New York City, although he still enjoys strong popularity across the vast majority states.

The Southeast is also all about Kodak Black, who is most popular in his native Florida, but also in the states just north FL.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert share a similar map, popular in almost all cities along the East Coast. The only difference is that Nicki does way better out West (compared not only to LUV, but to most featured rappers.)

Post Malone occupies a unique space among rappers on the list. While he enjoys intense popularity on both coasts, he also has a loyal following in central states like Kansas.

The rappers who dominate California should come as no surprise to anyone. Native son Kendrick Lamar enjoys far more relative popularity out West than in the South or the East. Detroit’s Big Sean and North Carolina’s J. Cole also get more love out West, including in Arizona and New Mexico.

Almost every rapper on the list sees a huge gap in popularity in states toward the West, such as Montana, Utah and Wyoming. Notable exceptions are J. Cole, who is reasonably popular out there, and Eminem who is wildly popular in areas where other rappers barely even register (Montana in particular).

Wiz Khalifa's Mom Hits Amber Rose With Defamation Lawsuit

Amber Rose, who made a lot noise over the last few weeks appearing on both the Drink Champs, hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN, and Complex’s Everyday Struggle, is now facing a new defamation lawsuit, according to Pennsylvania’s Observer-Reporter.

The plaintiff? Katie Wimbush-Polk, mother her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa.

The suit stems from a phone call, that — according to Wimbush-Polk’s attorney — “impute(d) criminality, which is incompatible with her status as a grandmother and her status as a volunteer mentoring at-risk youth.”

On June 19, Amber allegedly placed a call to a phone that — unbeknownst to her — was in possession Wimbush-Polk’s friend and former employee, Danesa Letic. Her 5-year-old niece answered the phone, and Rose immediately began ranting.

The phone was immediately passed to Letic, who identified herself. However, the expletive-filled outburst continued, and Rose went on to allegedly claim Wimbush-Polk had allowed her child, Dorien — who passed away in February from complications from lymphoma — to die, and was unfit to see her and Khalifa’s 4-year-old son, Sebastian.

The friction between the two, according to reports, came to a head when Wimbush-Polk reported Rose to California Child Welfare Services, which resulted in a visit from the agency on June 19 — the same day as the alleged phone call.

Wimbush-Polk’s complaint against Rose denies that she placed a call to the agency around that time.

In this new suit, Wimbush-Polk is asking for more than $50,000, which includes a combination legal costs, interest and other damages.

Amber is currently promoting her Slut Walk, which takes place from September 30-October 1 and is almost 80% sold out.

Rose is no stranger to legal drama. She recently dodged a $1-million lawsuit brought on from the iconic Ace Diamonds strip club after she claimed she, in fact, owned the brand. The claim ownership stemmed from Rose forming a corporation called Ace Diamonds, Inc. back in December and unsuccessfully filing for a trademark on the name and abbretion “AoD.”

Charity Sues Promo Company That Used Fake Snoop Dogg

A nonprit organization out Bulgaria appears to have been deceived by a Snoop Doggy Doppelganger.

TMZ reports that Peace For You Peace For Me was promised that Snoop Dogg and Britney Spears would appear at a benefit concert in 2016. And they dished over $360,000 to the Rich America promotions company to secure the two acts.

Peace For You Peace For Me is now reportedly suing Rich America and promoter Brandon Allen for not delivering either artist.

Allen and Rich America even went so far as to send video to the nonprit organization a fake Snoop Dogg promoting the event. While those familiar with the Doggfather may have easily spotted the phony, Peace For You Peace For Me rep Krasimir Dachev says they were fooled by the knock-f version.

“Yeah, it’s your boy Snoopy D-O-Double. Peace For You Peace For Me. October 1. Go see it. Get ready. Church,” the fake Snoop says in a promotional video for the event.

After receiving payment from the Bulgarian organization, Rich America informed them that Snoop backed out. They also attempted to replace Britney Spears with Dutch singer Natalie La Rose.

In addition to suing for the $360,000 they handed over to Rich America to secure a date and start negotiations, Peace For You Peace For Me is suing for an additional $2.5 million in lost expenses.

Snoop Dogg had no involvement in Rich America’s scheme.
