Are You Ready For A New Eminem Album?

It seems like Eminem is ready to join the fray great Hip-Hop coming out this year. The word on the street is Eminem will release an album this fall. Fall is right around the corner, people. Em has not release an albums since 2013, like Jay-Z. And, while he has done a number appearances on other people’s projects, he has only done a couple on his own. “Campaign Speech” dropped last October, a long song, where he dissed Donald Trump. I don’t know what the future really holds, but Dr. Dre and them already revealed that Em was coming on “The Defiant Ones.” Do you think that the current era is ready for a pure emcee like Eminem or is this thing too far into mumble rap and percs to understand?

Fetty Wap Fires Assistant Who Allegedly Jugged Him Outta $250K

Los Angeles, CA – Fetty Wap’s assistant is out a job and might have difficulty finding a new one if allegations her swindling money from the “Trap Queen” king are true.

Shawna Morgan was fired on Friday (August 4) after the creator hits like “My Way” and “679” discovered that she’d allegedly stolen $250,000 from him, according to a report by TMZ.

Sources in Fetty’s camp claim Morgan had been posing as his manager and booking agent in a scheme to charge venues extra fees, which she would pocket in her own bank account. The team asserts that Morgan collected booking fees on behalf Fetty’s RGF Productions then posed as his manager seeking more money in separate emails.

Morgan has denied the allegations, contends she wasn’t actually fired and even gone so far as to say RGF owes her $250,000. She alleges that she repeatedly covered their tour expenses with her own credit card without ever properly being reimbursed and says she’s got the receipts to prove it. Fetty’s former assistant copped to taking booking fees but says she only obtained the industry standard 10 percent.

Fetty and RGF do not plan to get the police involved. Instead, they’re opting to confer with a lawyer about how to proceed.

Destructo Explains Decision To Recruit A-Trak For Mobb Deep Forever Tribute At HARD Summer

San Bernardino, CA – News Destructo’s separation from Live Nation hit the Hip Hop and EDM world just days before the 10-year anniversary the HARD Summer Festival. These circumstances made for a tense festival setting, which took place at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, just two hours outside Los Angeles.

On Saturday (August 5), HipHopDX caught up with Destructo (real name Gary Richards) at his private trailer, which was tucked away in the artist compound.

“I’m feeling good,” Destructo told DX after hoping out a quick shower. “I just ran around the festival and just got in the crowd and danced with people. It just feels really good. I’m just having a good time.”

This year’s lineup had something special in store for Hip Hop heads in particular — a Mobb Deep Forever Tribute in celebration Prodigy’s life. Two days prior to the festival, it was determined Prodigy’s ficial cause death was from an accidental choking.

“I was just so excited to have Mobb Deep to play,” Destructo explained. “And then everything happened. I didn’t even know what to say. I didn’t want to call them. I didn’t want to be rude. I didn’t want to intrude. I just let them have their space.”

Destructo thought A-Trak would be the perfect candidate for a tribute set after discussing the idea with his team.

“I spoke to the management team that I talked to about booking the show,” Destructo explained. “We had a call. They were like, ‘Why don’t we turn this into a tribute? A celebration Prodigy’s life.’ They asked me if there was a DJ on the bill that could help. I looked at who was on the lineup today and I was like, ‘A-Trak.’ I’m sure Mobb Deep’s probably his favorite group ever.

“I was like, ‘What do you guys think? They were like, ‘That’s amazing.’ So I got A-Trak in with them. They just worked out. They’re going to do a lot visuals. It’s just a celebration Prodigy’s life. For me, it’s so sad. But still to be able to let them have a canvas to celebrate his life at the festival. I can’t even imagine. This whole weekend’s kind emotional. A lot emotions going on here this weekend.”

While Destructo’s five-year deal with Live Nation has come to a halt, he seemed eager to share his new ventures.

“I feel good,” he said. “I have a new plan. I have a new company that’s behind me. September 1, we’re going to make some announcements. I’m really going to finally be able to flourish and do more things and not be so contained. To be able to just work on more events, more shows and be more involved in music than what was going on in the past.”

Destructo also touched on his initial reaction to being taken f the bill for the EDM festival Holy Ship!, an annual electronic dance cruise. The veteran DJ was seemingly caught f guard by the decision.

“I had a plan what I wanted to do with this Ship and basically I was told not to go,” he explained. “I was like, ‘Wow, that’s kind weird.’ If they don’t want me, I don’t know. It’s all good. It’s just a name.”

In the future, fans can look forward to a new record with Snoop Dogg and Yo Gotti called “Hard For The Night.”

Stay tuned and check out the interview clips above.

Martin Shkreli Nonchalantly Plays Wu-Tang Clan's $2M LP During Interview

New York, NY – Martin Shkreli, the “Pharma Bro” who was just found guilty on three counts securities fraud, continued his trolling ways by playing a portion Wu-Tang Clan’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin during a livestream.

An interviewer stopped by Shkreli’s home to talk to him about his recent conviction and the conversation eventually turned to his infamous 2015 purchase  Wu-Tang’s rare $2 million album towards the end the interview. Right before the 48-minute mark  a since-deleted YouTube livestream video, he pulls out the CD from his desk and begins playing it in the background while continuing to chat with the reporter.

Shrekli ultimately allowed close to 10 minutes the project to be heard on the livestream. While speaking about the album, he characterized his purchase as a “donation” to the legendary Hip Hop group. He claimed it was not an example flaunting his wealth like most people assume.

The polarizing figure previously streamed a track from Once Upon A Time In Shaolin after Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. He also planned a listening session at New York’s Webster Hall in February, but the event was canceled.

According to a recent Facebook post, Shkreli is evidently “delighted” with the outcome his trial and there’s no telling what he’ll do next.

Until then, watch the livestream post above.

Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jxmmi Publicly Shames Uber Driver After Firing Him

Chicago, IL – Rae Sremmurd rapper Slim Jxmmi evidently was not up for following his Uber driver’s rules. In an Instagram video posted early Sunday (August 6), one half the self-proclaimed Black Beatles fires his driver Igor for allegedly not allowing him to smoke weed in his car.

“What’s your name? Igor?” Jxmmi said. “Igor, you don’t believe you’re fired, do you? He don’t believe he fired. You’re fired.”

Someone can be heard in the background yelling (possibly Swae Lee), “That’s some bullshit. We gotta get high, man!”

The public attempt at shaming his driver comes on the heels Rae Sremmurd’s latest release, “Perplexing Pegasus,” which dropped on Friday (August 4). The duo is in Chicago getting ready to perform at Lollapalooza at 9 p.m. CST.
